World Trail Pty Ltd is an Australian company that specialises in the consultation, design, construction, maintenance and management of mountain biking and other recreational trails. Founding directors Glen Jacobs and Dylan Jeffries started MV Australia in 2003 with the aim of providing the most innovative and professional mountain bike trail solutions to clients worldwide. In July 2007 the company was renamed World Trail to reflect a broader focus on a range of recreational trails and the company’s growing international profile.
Specialising mostly in mountain bike trail design and construction, World Trail has a combined industry experience of over twenty years, having designed over 200 competitive and recreational trails within 18 countries. These include the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games mountain bike course, Australia’s largest recreational mountain bike park at Mt Stromlo, Canberra, as well as working with the Union Cycliste Internationale, Switzerland (UCI – the international governing body for all competitive cycling disciplines) for six years, designing and constructing competition courses for use in World Cup and World Championship mountain bike events throughout the world.
Arguably the world’s premiere mountain bike trail designer, Glen Jacobs has achieved great success within the industry in the past two decades. Glen’s unselfish commitment to mountain biking has been recognised through his induction into the Australian mountain biking “hall of fame” as well as receiving an “Australia Day” award for his dedication to the industry.
